Roll-Off Dumpster Rental in Dallas, Texas

Pioneer Dumpster Rental drops 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 yard roll-offs across Dallas with our own trucks and drivers from McKinney. Seven days are included. Many Dallas homes sit on alleys, and the city requires a traffic control permit when work blocks an alley, lane or sidewalk. A driveway spot avoids that step.

Who can place a roll-off dumpster in Dallas?

Dallas requires roll-off haulers to hold a non-exclusive city solid waste franchise before they place a dumpster inside city limits. Before we schedule a Dallas delivery, we confirm your address and the city's hauler rule. Addresses outside city limits follow Dallas County rules instead.

Do you need a dumpster permit in Dallas?

Dallas Public Works Right-of-Way Management requires a Traffic Control Permit when work closes a traffic lane or blocks a sidewalk or alley. That includes a container sitting there. You submit a traffic control plan with drawings. Call 214-948-4290 before you book a street or alley spot. Keeping the dumpster on your driveway avoids this.

The city page lists no fee or lead time, so ask Right-of-Way Management when you apply. Dallas also says private haulers need a city solid waste franchise to haul there, so ask any hauler to confirm theirs.

How much driveway space a dumpster needs

Where does debris from Dallas go?

Dallas runs the McCommas Bluff Landfill on Youngblood Road in southeast Dallas. It is open weekdays 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Loose loads must be covered or pay a $40 fee. The facility name on your scale ticket shows where your load was weighed.

For items that don't belong in a roll-off

Paint, chemicals and batteries go to the Dallas County Home Chemical Collection Center on Plano Road. For small cleanouts, Dallas picks up up to 10 cubic yards of brush and bulky items each month. Construction debris, shingles and dirt are not taken, so those jobs need a roll-off.

What can go in a dumpster

Can a roll-off go in my Dallas alley?

Many homes in Lake Highlands, Lakewood and Oak Cliff back onto alleys. City criteria call for at least 10 feet of alley pavement and 14 feet of clear space overhead. An 8-foot-wide roll-off can fill most of that. Blocking an alley needs a city traffic control permit. Low limbs and power lines can also stop a truck from lifting the box. A front driveway is often the simpler spot.

Which dumpster sizes deliver to Dallas?

All five sizes deliver to Dallas: 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40-yard. Each includes delivery, pickup, 7 days and 2 to 5 tons. Extra weight is $75 per ton, billed by the pound from the landfill scale ticket that comes with your invoice.

Dallas dumpster rental questions

Will Dallas bulk trash pickup take my remodel debris?

Dallas brush and bulky pickup does not take construction or demolition debris, shingles, bricks, concrete or dirt. It is limited to 10 cubic yards a month. Remodel and roofing waste belongs in a roll-off.

I live in Dallas. Can I just haul my own junk to McCommas Bluff?

Dallas residents with a car, pickup or trailer under 15 feet can drop household waste at the city landfill or transfer stations at no charge. Bring a license with a Dallas address or a Dallas water bill. Bigger jobs often go faster with one roll-off.

Who do I call about putting a dumpster in a Dallas street or alley?

Call Dallas Public Works Right-of-Way Management at 214-948-4290. They issue Traffic Control Permits when work blocks a lane, sidewalk or alley. You can apply online at rowmanagement.dallascityhall.com.

Can I use the 20-yard bulky exception instead of renting a dumpster in Dallas?

Dallas allows one 20-cubic-yard bulky pickup per calendar year by 311 request, made the week before your collection week. It still excludes construction debris and dirt. For a full remodel, a 20 or 30 yard roll-off holds that waste.

Where do Dallas residents take old paint before a cleanout?

Take paint and chemicals to the Dallas County Home Chemical Collection Center at 11234 Plano Road. Wet paint is not allowed in our roll-offs. The city also holds BOPA drop-off days for batteries, oil, paint and antifreeze.
