Who can place a roll-off dumpster in Sachse?

Sachse requires roll-off haulers to hold a city permit and a 3% franchise fee before they place a dumpster inside city limits. Before we schedule a Sachse delivery, we confirm your address and the city's hauler rule. Addresses outside city limits follow Dallas County rules instead.

Do you need a dumpster permit in Sachse?

Sachse code requires commercial waste haulers to pay the city a franchise fee and hold a city permit to run their trucks on public streets. We did not find a separate street permit page for roll-offs. Before placing one in the street or alley, call Sachse Public Works at 972-495-7600. Keeping it on your driveway avoids the question.

The franchise fee is 3% of the hauler's gross Sachse revenue under Sec. 6-11B. The street-use permit for commercial waste vehicles is issued through the city secretary under Sec. 6-11C.

How much driveway space a dumpster needs

Where does debris from Sachse go?

The city sends residents to the C.M. Hinton, Jr. Landfill, a City of Garland site on Elm Grove Road in Rowlett. It does not take liquids or hazardous waste such as paint or antifreeze. The facility name on your scale ticket shows where your roll-off load was weighed.

For items that don't belong in a roll-off

Household chemicals go free to the Dallas County Home Chemical Collection Center with your license and utility bill. For small cleanouts, CWD's monthly bulk and brush pickup takes up to 6 cubic yards at the front curb.

What can go in a dumpster

My Sachse trash goes out in the alley. Can the dumpster go there?

Many Sachse homes roll carts to the alley, but the city wants bulk and brush at the front curb. Alleys are often too tight for a roll-off truck to back in and set a 22-foot box. The driveway is usually the better spot. We lay wooden boards under the rails. Call Public Works first if the alley or street is the only option.

Which dumpster sizes deliver to Sachse?

All five sizes deliver to Sachse: 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40-yard. Each includes delivery, pickup, 7 days and 2 to 5 tons. Extra weight is $75 per ton, billed by the pound from the landfill scale ticket that comes with your invoice.

Where do we deliver in Sachse?

We deliver across Sachse ZIP codes 75048. The run from our McKinney yard is about 22 miles. Tell us the exact drop spot when you book: driveway side, gate code, or anything low overhead. The driver texts or calls 20–30 minutes before arriving, so you don't need to wait at home.

Sachse dumpster rental questions

Will CWD take my remodel debris on Sachse bulk day?

CWD does not take loose construction or household debris unless it is boxed, 2' x 2' x 4' or smaller and under 50 pounds. Remodel waste in larger amounts belongs in a roll-off. Our 10 and 15 yard sizes handle tile and drywall jobs.

How big is Sachse's monthly bulk limit compared to a dumpster?

Sachse bulk pickup allows 6 cubic yards per month. Our smallest roll-off holds 10 cubic yards, and the 30 yard holds five times the monthly limit. If your pile is over 6 yards, a roll-off is usually faster.

Can I haul my own remodeling waste to the Hinton Landfill as a Sachse resident?

Sachse residents get free drop-off for soft household trash only. The city says remodeling and construction debris are reviewed case by case and charged landfill rates. A roll-off saves the trips and the trailer.

Where do I take paint and chemicals in Sachse?

Take them to the Dallas County Home Chemical Collection Center on Plano Road in Dallas. Bring a current driver's license and utility bill. Wet paint and chemicals cannot go in our dumpsters.

Do roll-off haulers need anything from the City of Sachse?

Sachse code charges commercial waste haulers a 3% franchise fee and requires a permit to run their trucks on city streets. Ask any hauler you hire how they meet Sec. 6-11 of the Sachse code.

Street & permit rule

Sachse city code Sec. 6-11B requires commercial solid waste contractors to pay the city a franchise fee of 3% of gross revenue from Sachse customers, paid quarterly.

Sec. 6-11C requires a permit, applied for through the city secretary, to move commercial solid waste vehicles over any public street in the city.

No separate street-placement permit page for roll-offs was found; the city lists Public Works at 972-495-7600 for right-of-way questions.
