Most McKinney homeowners need a 15 or 20-yard dumpster. A 15-yard holds a two-car garage cleanout. A 20-yard holds a kitchen remodel or most single-layer roofs. Pick a 10-yard for concrete or dirt, a 30-yard for additions and a 40-yard for new construction.

*Pickup loads assume an 8-ft truck bed loaded level, about 2 to 3 cubic yards each. Every size includes delivery, pickup and 7 days. Extra weight is $75 per ton, billed by the pound from the landfill scale ticket. How weight is billed.
Each project page shows the right size for the job, the weight of the debris and the rules that apply to it. Roofing goes by squares and layers. Remodels go by room. Cleanouts go by garage bays and rooms.

Weight over that costs $75 per ton, measured on the landfill scale, and the ticket comes with your invoice.
The certified landfill scale weighs our truck full, then empty. The difference is your debris weight. We compare it with the tons your size includes and bill any extra at $75 per ton, by the exact pound. We do not round up to the next ton.
A digital copy of the scale ticket is attached to your final invoice, emailed 3 to 5 business days after pickup.
How dumpster weight is billed · What a dumpster rental costs
Renting a dumpster takes five steps: book, delivery, loading, an optional swap or extension, then pickup and the final bill. Book by 3 PM and we deliver the next day between 7 AM–5 PM. You don't need to be home if the drop spot is clear.
Most dumpsters go on the driveway, set on wooden boards to protect the surface. A street or alley spot is public right-of-way, so the city may require a permit first. Allow room for the bin itself and for the truck to back straight in.

The dumpster needs a flat, hard spot as long as the bin: 12 ft for a 10-yard, up to 22 ft for a 20, 30 or 40-yard. The roll-off truck typically needs about 60 ft of straight approach and about 23 ft of overhead clearance from wires and branches.
Before the bin touches the ground, our driver lays wooden boards under the steel rails and rollers. The boards spread the weight and keep the rails from scratching or cracking concrete and asphalt.
Keep the spot clear of parked cars and locked gates. If the truck can't drop the bin, a $125 dry-run fee applies.
McKinney's rules focus on the hauler. The city's contractor, Frontier Waste Solutions, handles city roll-off accounts, and private haulers apply for a Private Hauler Permit to collect commercial or construction recyclables. Keep the roll-off on your driveway, and confirm any street or alley spot with the Public Works Streets - ROW Division at 972-547-1033.
Each Private Hauler Permit needs at least one Generator Permit, and both expire at the end of each calendar year. In the Downtown Business District, construction debris may not go in the shared enclosures and must go through a C&D hauler. McKinney Solid Waste Services answers hauler questions at 972-547-7385.

Hazardous chemicals, wet paint and batteries can't go in any of our dumpsters. Mattresses, tires and appliances that hold Freon can go in for $50 each. Everything else from a normal cleanout, remodel or roof tear-off is fine, as long as it stays level with the top rim.
Texas landfills can't accept lead-acid batteries, used oil or bulk liquids (30 TAC §330.15).
These cost more because the landfill must process them separately.
We deliver about 80 miles around McKinney, across 17 North Texas counties. Pick your county or city to see its permit rules, where its debris goes and its delivery details. Some cities contract one hauler for all roll-offs, and each county page says where we found that rule.
The price depends on the size and the debris. Every quote includes delivery, pickup, 7 days and the included tons for that size. Weight over the limit is $75 per ton. Call (945) 293-7445 for today's flat-rate price for your size.
A 20-yard dumpster includes 3 tons (6,000 lb). You can go over, but each extra ton costs $75, billed by the exact pound. Shingles, tile and plaster add weight fastest.
A digital copy of the certified landfill scale ticket is attached to every final invoice. The invoice is emailed 3 to 5 business days after pickup, so you can check the weight yourself.
You don't need to be home if the drop spot is clear. The driver texts or calls 20–30 minutes before arriving to confirm where the dumpster should go.
Extra days cost $25 each after the 7 included days. Call before day 7 and we'll move your pickup date.
We pull the full dumpster and drop an empty one. A swap is billed as a new rental at the same flat rate for that size.
Pioneer is a local hauler. Our own branded trucks and our own drivers run out of our McKinney yard. The team you call is the team that moves your dumpster. We never hand your order to another company.
Same-day delivery is possible when a truck is free, for a $50 rush fee. For a guaranteed slot, book by 3 PM for next-day delivery.

Tell us the project and the address. You'll get the size, the included tons and the price before the truck leaves the yard.
